Osun govt upgrades Ilesha College of Education to University

 Osun Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has given the nod for the upgrade of the College of Education Ilesha, the hometown of Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola to a university.


Oyetola announced this while commissioning the Ijesaland Geriatric Centre, Ilesha on Thursday.


He said: “Having looked into and examined carefully the request made by prominent sons and daughters of Ijesa Land, and Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Aromolaran, Government has decided to upgrade the Osun College of Education, Ilesa, to a full-fledged University.


“We have also engaged one of the nation’s best corporate Consultants, KPMG, to work out the sustainability plan of the upgrade.”
